Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Maryville, TN | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (7:00–19:30) | Every other weekend coverage expected, subject to change based on unit need Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, managing patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-heart catheterization diagnoses • Administer and monitor IV drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation • Provide step-down level care from ICU; unit does not manage ventilators or pressor support • Monitor patients via telemetry and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes • Float to other like units as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies • Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes Required Qualifications • Active Tennessee (TN) Registered Nurse license • ACLS certification required • BLS certification required • NIHSS certification required • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry or like unit • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required • Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates between 90–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience caring for step-down or progressive care patients transitioning from ICU settings • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation • Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers may be considered based on experience Why Join Us • Travelers may be eligible for reimbursement for time spent completing pre-assignment modules (up to 16 hours), with time verified upon contract start • Opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care environment with a variety of complex patient populations and specialized clinical procedures
