Is this you
Are you an experienced Salesforce Project Manager who thrives on delivering complex technology initiatives that make a meaningful impact in the Public Sector? If you bring strong Government Cloud implementation experience, a talent for navigating complex stakeholder relationships, and the ability to turn ambitious project goals into successful outcomes, we'd love to connect with you!
About the role
The Salesforce Project Manager role is focused on leading enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations that help Public Sector organizations modernize operations, improve service delivery, and achieve meaningful business outcomes.
As part of FormativGroup's Salesforce Practice, you'll oversee complex Government Cloud and Public Sector engagements, partnering with government clients and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality Salesforce solutions.
You'll manage the full project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, financials, resources, deliverables, risks, governance, and client relationships. This role requires a strong understanding of Salesforce delivery, Agile methodologies, and the ability to guide multiple workstreams while maintaining alignment across executive stakeholders, technical teams, and business partners.
We're anticipating future openings and are connecting now with great talent who'd like to be considered when the time comes.
What You'll Work On
As a Salesforce Project Manager, you will:
•
Manage end-to-end Salesforce Government Cloud and Public Sector implementations across the full software development and Agile delivery lifecycle.
•
Own project scope, timelines, budgets, forecasts, resource planning, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and client expectations throughout each engagement.
•
Coordinate complex Salesforce initiatives spanning multiple Clouds, integrations, workstreams, and distributed delivery teams.
•
Serve as the primary client contact, facilitating executive communications, governance meetings, delivery reviews, status presentations, and stakeholder discussions.
•
Partner with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, and delivery leadership to align functional and technical approaches with project objectives.
•
Monitor delivery performance through project KPIs, financial reporting, RAID logs, sprint metrics, and milestone tracking while proactively addressing risks and escalations.
•
Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and release planning.
•
Maintain delivery standards and ensure project execution aligns with Salesforce implementation methodologies, governance practices, and applicable Public Sector compliance requirements.
•
Support requirements planning, technical estimation, project roadmaps, implementation strategies, and change management activities.
•
Contribute to pre-sales engagements through discovery and scoping workshops, statement of work reviews, effort estimates, and client presentations.
•
Coordinate testing, UAT, deployment readiness, release activities, and production cutover planning.
•
Guide and support geographically distributed delivery teams, including onshore and offshore resources, while promoting collaboration, accountability, and delivery consistency.
•
Build strong client relationships and position FormativGroup as a trusted consulting and implementation partner.
What You'll Bring
You will likely be successful in this role if you have:
•
Active and valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification – required.
•
5+ years of experience managing enterprise Salesforce implementation projects within consulting, systems integration, or professional services environments.
•
Proven experience leading Salesforce Public Sector and Government Cloud implementations.
•
8+ years of Agile software delivery experience across project, product, or program management disciplines.
•
Strong experience managing multi-cloud Salesforce initiatives involving Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Lightning, and the Force.com platform.
•
Demonstrated success delivering complex, multi-workstream projects with significant integration, stakeholder, and technical dependencies.
•
Experience leading distributed delivery teams across onshore, offshore, and remote operating models.
•
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce implementation methodologies, SDLC processes, release management, and Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, or XP.
•
Experience managing budgets, forecasts, utilization, project financials, resource allocation, and delivery performance reporting.
•
Proven ability to engage executive stakeholders, manage client expectations, resolve escalations, and drive alignment across business and technical teams.
•
Technical understanding of Salesforce architecture, APIs, integrations, data migrations, platform capabilities, and deployment processes.
•
Experience delivering technology initiatives in government, regulated, or compliance-driven environments.
•
Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
