The Equipment Maintenance Engineer is responsible for checking, repairing and servicing machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures to ensure that industrial machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably. General Responsibilities • Key participant in electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process • Key participant in dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings • Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts • Organizes rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers Experience / Qualifications • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers Additional Responsibilities / Qualifications • This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment used in production. • The successful candidate will lead equipment troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and support equipment commissioning, upgrades, and modifications to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency. • Candidates should be comfortable working closely with Operations, Process Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment performance, maximize uptime, and support production goals.
