Overview: Job Description Summary: Screens patient medical records for nutritional risk factors and assessment needs, obtains clinical information, and provides nutritional care, basic dietary instructions, and general nutrition education. Job Description: Essential Functions: • Assesses nutritional needs of patients by reviewing medical records and conducting interviews. • Develops and implements nutrition care plans based on patient needs and medical conditions. • Monitors and evaluates patient progress, adjusting nutrition care plans as needed. • Provides nutrition education to patients and their families. • Maintains accurate and complete patient records. • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Education Requirement: Associate's Degree in Nutrition from an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved program, required. Licensure Requirement: (not specified) Certifications: Dietetic Technician Registered, (DTR) or Registration Eligible with completion of exam within 3 months of hire, required. Skills: • Highly proficient technical skills. • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in various organizational systems. Experience: • Experience as a dietetic technician, preferred. • Clinical pediatric experience, preferred.
