Summary Job Description: Nursing Assistant, Stroke/Neuro, 3F Location: Baptist Health, Lexington Schedule: Part-time, 3rd Shift, 7p-7a UNIT OVERVIEW: 3F is a 24- bed Telemetry unit. This unit supports our comprehensive stroke program. Specializing in the care of Neurology, Neurosurgery, TIA, and CVA. This unit also serves as an overflow for orthopedic patients. The patient population is transferred from ICU, ED and PACU. JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and support services to patients and families. This role performs selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and overall care of patients. REQUIREMENTS: -High School Diploma or equivalent -Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year clinical classes in nursing school and validation of a clinical consistent with level of education. -Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain -BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
