Bassett Healthcare Network, is seeking a comprehensive Ophthalmologist. • Salary Range: $433,000 - $525,000 • Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000 • Location: Cooperstown, NY • Residency/Fellowship Stipend: Up to $40,000 Job Description & Responsibilities: • Join an established group of 5 Ophthalmologists and 3 Optometrists • Current need is for a general ophthalmologist who can provide comprehensive eye care • Current group has pediatric, retina and glaucoma specialists • Support staff consists of ophthalmic technicians, LPN’s,and RN’s and are well trained • On call is every 5th weekend, from Cooperstown, and rarely busy • Outreach clinics are attended by all ophthalmologists but are limited to only one location each • Referral patterns to tertiary care ophthalmologists are well established. • Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region • Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons • Visa Sponsorship Available - J-1 and H-1B candidates welcome to apply Requirements • MD, DO or MBBS • BC/BE • Completion of an accredited USA Ophthalmology Residency • New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain) • BLS Certification Required Benefits Compensation • Salary Range: $433,000 - $525,000 plus performance-based compensation. • This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards • Residency stipend up to $40,000 for up to 18 months prior to graduation • Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000 • Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap.
