Key Responsibilities • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions. • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and patient needs • Diagnose mental health disorders based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) criteria. • Prescribe medications and monitor their effects, adjusting treatment as necessary. • Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy. • Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. • Participate in ongoing professional development and stay updated on advances in psychiatric practices. • Engage in community outreach and educational initiatives to promote mental health awareness. Qualifications • Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution. • Completion of a residency program in psychiatry. • Board certification in psychiatry • Valid medical license • Proficient in various therapeutic modalities and psychiatric evaluation techniques. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and families.
