Description Phoenix, AZ 85043 | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Starting at $26+/Hour Schedule: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Work Location: 100% On-Site Pay: Starting at $26+/hour, based on experience ABOUT THE ROLE GFT Ready Mix is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Ready Mix Dispatch Order Taker/Shipper to join our Phoenix team. This position serves as an important connection between our customers, drivers, dispatch, and operations teams. You will be responsible for processing customer orders, dispatching trucks, communicating order changes, and helping keep daily ready-mix operations running smoothly. Ready mix experience is preferred, but candidates with strong customer service, dispatching, logistics experience are encouraged to apply. WHAT GFT OFFERS • Weekly pay • 100% employer-paid employee medical coverage, including Telehealth • Paid holidays, PTO, and paid sick time • 401(k) with employer match • Company profit sharing • 100% employer-paid basic life insurance and short-term disability • Paid training • Benefits available within 45 days of employment, or sooner • Voluntary dental, vision, life, long-term disability, and supplemental benefits • Employee discount program KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Receive and process customer ready-mix orders using Command Series software. • Accurately enter new orders, order changes, and customer information. • Assist customers in identifying the appropriate products for their projects and end uses. • Provide professional and responsive customer service to customers and drivers. • Dispatch loads to drivers, and make sure the loads are delivered on a timely basis as ordered by the customer. • Manage multiple orders and changing priorities throughout the day. • Maintain accurate records and complete required daily reports. • Assist with resolving routine customer and order-related issues. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Able to work varied shifts including Saturday’s as needed based on customer needs. QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in dispatching, logistics or a similar environment. • Ready mix or construction materials experience preferred. • Previous dispatch or order-management software experience preferred. • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. • Ability to type at least 40 WPM. • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills. • Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of Phoenix and surrounding areas preferred. • Command Alkon/Command Series experience is a plus. • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
