Tender Care Animal Hospital in Peoria, Illinois is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and provide dedicated support for patient care, appointments, diagnostics, and the overall client experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinary assistant who wants to utilize their skillset in a supportive, collaborative general practice environment. You will play an important role in providing efficient, high-quality patient care while supporting the veterinary team and creating a positive experience for clients and their pets. In this position, you will take an active role in: • Supporting veterinarians and technicians with daily patient care • Preparing patients and exam rooms for appointments • Assisting with diagnostics, laboratory procedures, and radiology • Providing compassionate patient handling and restraint • Supporting client communication, admissions, and discharges • Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked hospital environment Schedule and compensation: • Compensation: $17 - $20 per hour, for each hour worked • This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday. Saturdays are on rotation.
