Description Bergen Cable Technology, Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Essential Job Functions: Invoicing and Billing • Perform the daily processing of accounts receivable transactions. • Verify billing details, ensuring accuracy of product descriptions, quantities, and pricing. Payment Processing • Code customer checks received and reconcile customer payments (cash applications) via the ERP accounting system (Infor Syteline). • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments and billings. Collections • Monitor overdue accounts and contact customers to facilitate timely payment. • Collaborate and coordinate with sales and customer service teams to resolve payment issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Accounts Payable • Coding and vouchering of vendor invoices received. Generate debit memos and discrepant material return forms. General Ledger • Post and process journal entries • Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts • Support month-end and year-end closing process • Prepare basic accounting reports and balance sheet schedules • Other Ad-hoc • Open, distribute, and process incoming mail daily. Requirements Qualifications: • Associate’s degree with concentration in accounting. • Minimum 2 years’ experience. • Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
