Surgical Veterinary Technician - Anesthesia Our surgical team at Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists is rapidly growing and we are looking for a talented and motivated Surgery and Anesthesia Technician to join us. • Work with brilliant and caring board certified surgeons • Be a part of a team of technicians and surgeons that have a positive and engaged culture • Provide high quality patient care • Place arterial and central lines, urinary catheters, and NG Tubes • Administering local and regional anesthesia • Perform critical care anesthesia to include mechanical ventilation and TIVA • Surgical preparation • Client interaction and education during initial consultations and dismissals • Bandage application and changes Do you love being a surgical assistant on the following types of cases? • Orthopedics and Arthroscopy • Regular and complex soft tissue • Interventional radiology • Oncologic We are looking for an LVT, VTS or an LVT on track to become a VTS in anesthesia. Requirements: LVT with at least 4 years of experience in a specialty surgery and anesthesia setting and having knowledge about specialty surgical procedures, surgical assisting experience, instrumentation knowledge, and being able to independently run up to level 5 ASA anesthesia cases. A background in training junior staff is desired.
