SMG seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction for our Insights Team - in Central Indiana. The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment. This person will travel to different client sites throughout the state of Indiana. Overview of Job Responsibilities • Site safety observations, including documentation of findings • Safety program review/development • Visit Construction clients to perform site audits and assessments • Provide training • Administer Safety Partner Program to multiple clients • Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, and contractors • Provides incident management and support • Documentation and Report preparation Requirements • Four plus years of construction safety experience • A degree in safety or related fields is preferred • CSP, CHST, STS-C is preferred but not required • Experience reviewing safety programs • Experience providing training and site audits • First-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association • OSHA 30-hr Construction • OSHA 510 preferred Additional Information • SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier. • Eligible to receive all SMG Benefits. • Annual pay/merit review/increase.
