Summary objective: Manages jet mill projects, requiring multiple engineering disciplines. Acts as project manager and communicates with the vendor, sales, and management teams to relay any issues and ensure all aspects of the project are on track. Requirements Job Duties & Responsibilities: • Manage Projects based on the project objectives as set by the OEM Technical Director by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management. • Studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies. • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements; coordinating activities; resolving problems. • Communicate with vendors for quotes and deliver specifications. Write purchase orders, communicating expectations and timelines, track open purchase orders and communicate errors or quality concerns. • Coordinate Licensing • Identify and qualify new vendors • Create blueprints and 3D models • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions. • Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests. • Maintains KPI a set of short and long term KPI • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. The qualified candidate has the following desired skills: • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives with strong attention to detail • Ability to evaluate problems and recommend solutions • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence • Interpersonal and communication skills • Scheduling evaluation/adjustment • Backorder evaluation/problem solving • Report preparation • Able to travel up to 25% Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering • Minimum 3 years in Project Management role • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word • Experience with SolidWorks and familiar Microsoft Dynamics NAV Enterprise • Bonus if knowledgeable in SolidWorks PDM and AutoCAD • Knowledge of machining and metalworking
