Description Operate or tend sewing machines to join, reinforce, decorate, or perform related sewing operations in the manufacturing of garment or non-garment products. Requirements • Possess ability to maintain flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department, i.e. overtime. • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. • Ability to listen to what is said and act upon it appropriately. • Ability to use tact and empathy in dealing with people of varied backgrounds. • Ability to establish effective working relationships. • Ability to work independently or in a team environment and plan and organize workload. • Accepts responsibility and demonstrates leadership. • Is able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Trustworthy- Able to keep business confidential as required. • Open minded- Willing to embrace change. Education and or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience in needle trades manufacturing processes preferred. Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: None Physical Demands The position requires employees to alternate from a sitting to a standing position frequently. Repetitive motion required.
