Description Position Summary The HPP Production Worker supports High-Pressure Processing operations while promoting safety, maintaining a sanitary food-production environment, and ensuring that products meet company quality standards. Essential Duties • Operate HPP production equipment under the direction of the supervisor or lead. • Load and unload HPP cylinders. • Load, unload, package, and palletize finished products. • Monitor equipment, gauges, pressure readings, processing times, and product flow. • Verify product information, lot numbers, and date codes. • Complete production records and other required paperwork accurately. • Inspect products and report quality or food-safety concerns immediately. • Follow all standard operating procedures and food-safety, quality, sanitation, and safety requirements. • Clean and sanitize equipment and production areas using approved chemicals and procedures. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. • Operate pallet jacks and other approved material-handling equipment. • Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed. • Communicate effectively with supervisors, leads, and employees in other departments. • Participate in continuous-improvement efforts. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Previous production or machine-operation experience preferred; training will be provided. • Experience working in a food-manufacturing or cold-storage environment is a plus. • Ability to read and understand product labels, date codes, instructions, and production documents. • Basic math and computer skills. • Ability to complete paperwork clearly and accurately. • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Flexibility to adjust to changing production schedules and job duties. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to slippery, wet, and cold conditions of approximately 35 degrees. The employee will work in a fast-paced food-manufacturing environment and operate HPP production and material-handling equipment while following all company safety, food-safety, quality, and sanitation policies and procedures.
