ABOUT THE ROLE
Austin Safety Council is hiring reliable, detail-oriented Collection Technicians to perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol screenings on-site at a client location in the Austin area. You'll manage collections start to finish with strict accuracy and confidentiality. No experience required — we train and certify you, with a clear entry path into occupational health.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Perform urine drug screen and breath/saliva alcohol collections under DOT and non-DOT protocols
• Maintain strict chain-of-custody and complete, accurate documentation on every specimen
• Verify donor identity and guide each person through the process professionally and discreetly
• Learn and consistently follow the client site's specific policies and procedures
• Handle scheduled, random, and reasonable-suspicion collections with composure
• Keep the collection area clean, compliant, and organized
WHAT WE OFFER
• Paid training & certification (DOT/non-DOT, breath alcohol)
• $22–$25/hr plus overnight differential
• Consistent Mon–Fri schedule, no weekends
• Full-time and part-time options that fit a class schedule
• A real entry point into occupational health & safety, with room to grow
Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 18+, high school diploma or equivalent
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Sharp attention to detail and integrity with sensitive info
• Comfortable working independently on-site
• Able to pass a background check and screening
• Existing collector certification a plus — we'll train if not
