This position will work at ECPI University’s Virginia Beach, VA campus location. Compensation: $1,499 – $1,801 per course section. Compensation is determined by discipline, credential level, and course type. Ranges reflect good faith estimates based on current pay practices. Overview ECPI University is seeking a Cybersecurity Faculty Member with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). This role focuses on integrating AI into cybersecurity and networking curriculum while delivering engaging instruction. Key Responsibilities • Serve as SME for AI applications in cybersecurity and networking • Collaborate with academic leadership to develop and refine AI-focused curriculum • Teach courses related to cybersecurity, networking, and AI integration • Apply innovative teaching strategies to enhance student outcomes • Integrate emerging AI tools, techniques, and real-world use cases into instruction • Stay current with advancements in AI and cybersecurity Qualifications Education • Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field OR • Master’s degree with 18+ graduate semester hours in the discipline • Ph.D. strongly preferred Experience • Demonstrated expertise in Artificial Intelligence applications in cybersecurity • 3–5 years of relevant industry experience (10+ years preferred) • Teaching, training, or speaking experience preferred Technical Skills Required: • AI/ML concepts and applications in cybersecurity • Networking fundamentals • Windows and Linux systems Preferred: • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) • Security automation and AI-driven threat detection Certifications (Preferred) • CISSP • CEH • CHFI • AI/ML-related certifications (e.g., Azure AI, AWS ML Specialty) Skills & Abilities • Strong expertise in AI-driven cybersecurity solutions • Excellent communication and curriculum development skills • Ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical learning • Strong organizational and collaboration skills • Passion for innovation and student success Benefits ECPI University offers a comprehensive benefits program supporting employee well-being and professional growth.
