Cluster Catering Manager Cambria Portland Pearl Hotel & Caption by Hyatt Hillsboro What You’ll Do: Love building relationships and helping clients bring their events to life? As the Cluster Catering Manager for Cambria Portland Pearl Hotel and Caption by Hyatt Hillsboro Hotel, you’ll play a key role in driving catering and event revenue across both hotels. You’ll solicit new and repeat business, guide clients through the planning process, and partner with each hotel’s team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Your daily responsibilities will include: • Sell catering services, meeting and banquet space, and associated guest room blocks across both properties. • Develop new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, and ongoing relationships with past clients. • Create and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations tailored to each client’s needs. • Conduct site inspections and highlight the unique offerings of each hotel. • Coordinate event details with clients and hotel teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution. • Maintain accurate contracts, event details, and sales records while working toward revenue goals for both properties. • Represent both hotels at community events, professional associations, and networking activities. Where You’ve Been: You bring a bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or a related field, along with at least two years of hotel catering sales or comparable experience. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the confidence to manage competing priorities across two hotels. Most importantly, you’re a people person! You build lasting relationships, stay composed under pressure, and approach every interaction with professionalism and a positive attitude. You work collaboratively with clients and hotel teams, balancing attention to detail with a focus on revenue and guest satisfaction.
