PSO’s may find themselves working in a wide range of areas to include medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues and public events. Additionally PSOs may be asked to work with a firearm. The PSOs mission is to protect all people, information and property assigned, while delivering on high end customer service. PSOs represent the front line of our security services. • Job Duties / Essential Functions • Delivering high end customer service • Responding to emergencies • Deterring and preventing crime • Performing ingress/ egress control procedures • Investigating incidents • Completing daily logs and incident reports • Conducting regular walking or vehicle patrols • Building and Maintaining a professional rapport with clients, guests and co-workers • De-escalating conflicts • Monitoring CCTV cameras • Performing other related duties as assigned • Skills / Qualifications • ACT 235 (current) • 21 years of age • Current and valid DL • High school diploma or GED • (1) year experience in armed security recommended • Must be able to pass PAT and ASO course • Must be able to pass drug screen • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Proficient time management skills • Reliable transportation • Excellent de-escalation skills • Proficient firearms skills • Extensive use of force knowledge • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS training requirements • Appearance: • Officers shall maintain their hair in a neat, clean, and combed professional appearance • Beards and mustaches must be clean and neatly trimmed. • Physical Requirements / Working Conditions • These are physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically performed.
