Job Summary Cornerstone, headquartered in Dade City, is hiring a semi-skilled Hardscape Laborer for our hardscape crew. We build commercial projects, from small hardscape features to large amenity centers, including pavers, concrete, retaining walls, and stone work. You need hands-on experience in at least one of these areas. Experience in more than one is a plus, and we will train the right person on the rest. We are looking for someone reliable and hardworking who takes pride in clean, level, well-finished work. What You’ll Do • Pavers: Prep and compact base, screed sand, and lay and cut pavers for walkways, patios, pool decks, and driveways. • Concrete: Set forms and rebar, and pour and finish sidewalks, slabs, curbs, and pads. • Retaining Walls: Build block retaining walls and seat walls, including base, geogrid, drainage, and caps. • Stone Work: Set flagstone, natural stone, and coping, and mix mortar and point joints. • Layout and Grading: Help the Foreman set lines, grades, and slopes for proper drainage. • Tools and Equipment: Use wet saws, cut-off saws, plate compactors, and mixers safely. Run compact equipment when trained. Required Skills • Hands-on experience in at least one hardscape area: pavers, concrete, retaining walls, or stone work • Ability to follow verbal and written directions • Accurate use of a tape measure, levels, and string lines • Ability to work in Florida heat and perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team • English proficiency (Spanish a plus) • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites Preferred Qualifications • Experience in more than one hardscape area • CMHA (formerly ICPI) Concrete Paver Installer or Segmental Retaining Wall Installer certification • Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or other compact equipment • Ability to read site plans and installation details Benefits Cornerstone Solutions Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match • Dental insurance • Employee discount • Health insurance • Paid time off (vacation and sick leave) • Vision insurance Schedule: • 10-hour shift License/Certification: • Driver's License (Required) Work Location: • Multiple locations
