Chestnut Hill College, founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph in 1924, is an independent, Catholic institution that strives to foster equality through education. The mission of the College is dedicated to promoting the spiritual, academic, social, ethical, and moral development of the whole person. The College, situated in Chestnut Hill, a charming neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia, serves a culturally diverse student body. Undergraduate Psychology offers courses that encompass a range of factors that shape human behavior. Influences related to biology, particularly the workings of the brain, individual psychological processes such as cognition and emotions, and the effects of sociocultural surroundings are all considered as students are exposed to the breadth of the field. In addition, rigorous training in research methods prepares students for individual investigation and graduate study. Students can receive course credit for supervised field experiences through internships in their junior and senior years. Requirements: • Master's degree in psychology or a related field. PhD preferred. • Prepared to teach undergraduate courses in their area of expertise. Responsibilities: • Teach courses in support of the undergraduate psychology major. • Contribute to departmental duties such as assessment of the major and curriculum development. • Perform usual duties associated with a part-time faculty appointment. • Support the mission of Chestnut Hill College. Contact Information: Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, areas of scholarly or clinical interest, curriculum vitae, and contact information for three references via ADP Workforce Now HERE. No phone calls, please. Chestnut Hill College is an employer committed to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion as a core value. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and encourage applications from groups historically underrepresented in higher education. We are committed to increasing the diversity of the college community and the curriculum.
