OPPORTUNITY | Associate Attorney Our Cherry Hill, NJ office seeks a well-rounded, highly-motivated associate attorney with at least three years of workers’ compensation defense experience and an eagerness to advance your skill set. Must be licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania state and federal district courts. This is an exceptional opportunity to help grow with the cpansion of the workers' compensation department. SKILLS and ABILITIES The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with the following: · proactively work independently and as part of a team; · demonstrate strong legal research, writing and analytical skills; · excellent communication skills; · strong attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills; · ability to move from case to case; · knowledge of workers' compensation procedures; and · proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Westlaw and navigating the internet. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include handling a caseload involving workers’ compensation claims. The following are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to do this job successfully under the direction of a partner: · draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda; · draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions; · conduct legal research competently and with proficiency; · prepare and take depositions of parties and witnesses; · review client documents, draft case evaluations and status report correspondence; · assist with and participate in trial preparation and court appearances; and, · interact directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues and staff.
