FLSA Status: Hourly Range: $19-22 / hour We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Specialist to review packaging artwork, PDFs, and digital plate files for accuracy before production. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer requirements are met and artwork is optimized for high-speed flexographic printing and converting processes. Key Responsibilities: • Review packaging artwork, PDFs, and plate files for accuracy and completeness. • Verify files meet customer specifications and internal production requirements. • Perform detailed proofreading of artwork copy, graphics, barcodes, and variable data and customer specifications to ensure accuracy prior to production • Validate files for printability and compliance with flexographic printing standards. • Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections with internal teams. • Maintain organized digital file structures and documentation. • Track and document quality issues to support continuous improvement initiatives. • Prioritize workload to meet customer commitments and production schedules. • Assist with workflow improvements, new processes, and technology implementation. Qualifications: • Associate’s degree in graphic arts, Printing Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered. • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. • Knowledge of Mac operating systems. • Experience in prepress, packaging graphics, flexographic printing, or print production preferred. • Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills. • Strong organizational and time management abilities. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to distinguish color accurately and pass a color vision assessment. • Ability to pass a proofreading assessment.
