Pay: Hourly Job Summary: Pool Attendant Full-time/Part-time, Seasonal Marbella Country Club is seeking a friendly, outgoing Pool Attendant with excellent communication and customer service skills. The Pool Attendant position is a working hourly position responsible for providing concierge services and assisting members and guests according to Marbella Country Club standards of service. Responsible for being the point of contact for all members and their guests upon arrival to the Pool. Job Duties: Pool Attendants are responsible for all duties below, with a focus on concierge or towel and cleaning duties depending on background and experience. • Provide exceptional customer service to all members and pool guests • Report unauthorized guests to management in and/or around the club facilities • Collect lost and found items and deliver valuable items such as phones, wallets, etc. to pool supervisor or manager • Communicate with other department members and supervisors/managers on any guest issues • Perform other duties as assigned • Concierge duties: • Greet all members and guests upon entering the pool area • Properly check in members, register guests, and charge guest fees according to club policies • Ensure assigned towel and current number of chairs is offered to each member and guest upon arrival, escort members and guests to chairs, cover chairs and carry towels as needed • Assist members and guests with requests and concerns • Provide schedule of activities and other club information to members and guests upon request • Assist in making arrangements for dining reservations as requested • Towel service and cleaning duties: • Assist in maintaining towel bin and racks to be kept presentable and fully stocked • Collect used towels from pool area to be taken to Laundry and replenish towel bin • Maintain cleanliness of the pool area, cleaning up trash, toys, beach areas and other duties as assigned Education and/or Experience: • 1-2 years of experience in customer service field or related areas preferred • High School Diploma preferred Job Competencies: The ideal candidate will have reliable transportation and is available to work 8-hour shifts when scheduled. Candidates must be able to work during pool hours of operation from are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm 7 days a week. Pool opening and closing shifts will require earlier or later shift start or end times. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Strong organizational skills to prioritize work activities • Strong interpersonal skills required • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to be flexible and self-motivated • Exceptional customer service skills • Being able to work alone or as a team Working Conditions: Work will generally be performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. Outdoor temperatures can range from 70F to 100+F during summer months, and there will be exposure to loud noises and sustained elements. Working schedule may include up to 40 hours per week, with some holidays and weekends required. Must have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as required. General standing, walking, lifting, pushing and pulling movements are required.
