Position Title: Non – Ferrous Worker Location: Des Moines Reports To: Facility Manager Date: September, 2026 Job Scope Follows direction set by the Facility Manager. Supervise and oversee non-ferrous yard operations, and personnel to ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment. Primary Responsibilities: • Assists with material purchasing, sorting, processing and shipping. • Assists with coordinating production schedules. • Supervises quality control of inbound/outbound material. Responds to quality issues with customers. • Proactively checks with equipment operators to ensure all equipment is running properly. May call external vendors or provide maintenance as necessary. • Prepares daily production reports; orders for the day, material to ship. • May operate yard equipment as needed (baler, forklift, loader, etc). • Follows company guidelines regarding safety; as supervisor, enforces safe work environment policies and guidelines for employees. • Performs other duties as assigned or directed. Education/Experience: At least 2-4 years experience in the industry or related industry to include lead or supervisory experience. Excellent open communication style to carry out ongoing dialogues in a way that creates trust and confidence within all levels of the company. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license.
