About the Role Reporting to the Operations Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing crematory equipment and facility systems across multiple locations. This is a dynamic, travel-heavy role where your expertise ensures operational excellence, safety, and reliability. What You’ll Do • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot crematory machinery and building systems • Diagnose issues and perform preventative maintenance and repairs • Repair or replace worn components before breakdowns occur • Use diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools to complete repairs • Interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints to plan work • Maintain accurate service reports and documentation • Order parts and supplies as needed • Provide recommendations to improve equipment performance and reliability • Train on-site staff on basic maintenance and efficient machine operation • Support general facility maintenance including electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry What You Bring • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or trade/technical certification • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience (HVAC, controls, PLCs, refractory, or similar) • Hands on boiler experience • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 80% • Experience reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic tools (preferred) • Working knowledge of general building maintenance and repairs Key Skills & Strengths • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools • Highly organized with excellent time management skills • Ability to work independently and within a team • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies • High level of integrity and strong work ethic What to Expect • Extensive travel (up to 80%) across regional locations • Physically active work (lifting, bending, and working in various environments) • Exposure to high heat, noise, and varying weather conditions • A fast-paced, hands-on role where no two days are the same If you're ready to take your technical skills on the road and play a critical role in maintaining essential operations, we’d love to hear from you.
