DoubleTree by Hilton Akron/Fairlawn Now Hiring Banquet Servers Position Summary We are seeking dependable and professional Banquet Servers to join our team. Banquet Servers are responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service during weddings, conferences, corporate events, private parties, and other special occasions. The ideal candidate is friendly, attentive to detail, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Set up place settings, and service stations before events. • Greet guests and provide friendly, professional service throughout the event. • Serve food and beverages according to event specifications and service standards. • Clear and reset tables efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized dining area. • Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown as needed. • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and questions. • Communicate effectively with the banquet team, kitchen, bartenders, and event staff. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas throughout the event. • Assist with event breakdown to include but not limited to clearing tables, and returning equipment. • Follow all company policies, food-safety procedures, and health and safety standards. • Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications • Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality serving experience preferred. • Excellent customer-service and communication skills. • Professional appearance and positive attitude. • Ability to work well as part of a team. • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. • Reliable transportation and regular and reliable attendance are required. Physical Requirements • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. • Ability to lift and carry trays, tables, chairs, and other event equipment as needed. • Ability to safely carry food and beverage items. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.
