He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Performs patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED High School diploma or GED equivalent. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program OR has one-year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist OR three years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.
