As a Banquet Cook with Wedgewood Weddings, you'll help create celebrations our clients and guests remember for a lifetime. This is catering, not a restaurant line. If you've worked à la carte, you know the chaos: tickets firing at random, no idea what's coming, a rush that never quite ends. Banquet cooking is different. We know the guest count, we know the menu, and we know exactly when plates go out. It's high volume — you'll serve hundreds in a night — but it's planned volume. You'll cook with a game plan instead of reacting to one. A schedule that works around your life This is a part-time, hourly role. We work when our clients celebrate, so weekend availability is required — but prep days are flexible, and we'll build a schedule around what works for you. What you'll do • Support the chef in executing banquets according to Banquet Event Order details and Wedgewood standards • Prep, produce, and plate for full event execution • Keep a clean kitchen — cleaning as you work, closing procedures, and weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deep cleans • Receive deliveries from approved suppliers, verifying freshness and quality • Stock and label all food to food safety protocols and FIFO procedures What we're looking for • Solid food handling and preparation skills • Safety and sanitation knowledge you take seriously • Efficiency and composure under pressure • A team player with a "whatever it takes" attitude • Banquet, catering, or restaurant experience preferred — leadership experience is a plus, not a requirement About Us For over 40 years, Wedgewood Weddings & Events has been helping couples celebrate life's biggest moments while making the planning process simple and enjoyable.
