BENEFITS: • Up to $300 hiring bonus* external candidates only • 401(k) 3% match • LSS offer training for medical interpretation • Employee Recognition • Employee Assistance Program RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide professional in-person interpretation (verbal and/or written) across the Sioux Falls area • Provide translation services with written documents across the Sioux Falls area • Conduct pre-session communications with clients and non-English speakers • Receive and review session briefings prior to interpreting • Deliver real-time, face-to-face interpretation, accurately translating spoken statements both ways • Active listening skills to interpret intent and context effectively • Professional demeanor, respectful of cultural differences and special needs QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Must meet all requirements to be qualified to apply for this position. • Residency near the Sioux Falls, SD area is required. • Must be at least 18 years of age. • High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered • For medical interpretation assignments, interpreters must meet applicable health screening, vaccination, and medical examination requirements established by assignment locations or partner organizations. • Up-to-date on vaccinations and medical exams (for medical interpretation assignments) • Must have bi-lingual skills.
