Overview A warm, professional family on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is seeking an experienced, proactive Live-In or Live-out Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their children and assist with the day-to-day running of the household. The family currently has a nanny on staff, and the new hire will work collaboratively alongside her. They are looking for someone warm, genuine, and low-maintenance in approach. They are seeking a true forever person, someone who fits naturally into the household, works well alongside existing staff without ego or competitiveness, and brings a caring, easygoing spirit along with a strong skill set. The family values being flexible on schedule details until the right candidate is found, with a general range of 40 to 50 hours per week. Days are open and can flex around the right candidate's needs, potentially running Monday through Friday with weekend flexibility, or a Tuesday through Saturday structure, depending on what works best once hired. This is intended to be a long-term placement, and the family is open to relocation for the right candidate. Responsibilities • Provide hands-on, engaged care for 2 children • Collaborate warmly and professionally with the existing nanny on staff • Handle school drop-off and pickup as needed • Prepare meals for the children and assist with family meal preparation • Maintain general household cleanliness and daily tidying of common areas • Manage children's laundry, closets, and bedrooms • Support with light household organization and management • Assist with errands, household inventory, and supply restocking • Light coordination with vendors or service providers as needed • Travel with the family as needed, including extended trips Qualifications • Highly experienced, energetic, and warm with a genuine love for children • Comfortable balancing childcare and household management responsibilities • Strong communicator with excellent judgment and emotional maturity • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a household staff team • Cooking skills are a strong plus • Strong organizational skills a strong plus • Interested in building a long-term relationship with the family Requirements • Valid driver's license and comfortable driving • Valid passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally • Full legal eligibility to work in the United States • Strong verifiable references, ideally with recent reference availability • CPR and First Aid certification • Open to relocating with the family in the future Salary and Benefits • $40 to $45 per hour • PTO Sick Days • Health Insurance Stipend • Meals provided • Private bedroom provided for live-in arrangement
