The Housekeeper will maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly work environment. He or she may be required to perform tasks which involve exposure to blood and/or other bodily fluids and must follow the required handling procedures in accordance with the OSHA Blood-Borne Pathogen Standard. Work Schedule: 6:30am - 2pm, Monday - Friday; will rotate one Saturday or Sunday, once per month Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Clean offices, hallways, lobbies, break areas, restrooms, and laboratory areas • Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment including but not limited to: vacuums, polishers, and buffers • Clean rugs, carpets, furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner • Dust furniture, light fixtures, and window sills, among other items as needed • Maintain a sanitary facility through washing, cleaning and replacement of equipment as necessary • Dispose of trash, waste, and other disposable materials as needed • Handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. • Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, etc. • Report any needed repairs immediately to the Facilities Manager • Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services • Participate in process improvements, including process definition, measurement analysis, and implementation of controls • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill • Follow all safety guidelines and report any safety concerns to supervisor • Other duties as required and assigned A Successful Candidate Must Possess: • High school diploma or GED required • Previous housekeeping experience preferred Minimum Physical Requirement The following demands are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Aegis Sciences Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer
