The Opportunity We’re now hiring a Night Shift Dry Packaging Machine Operator to operate and maintain the general operation of a line, to ensure continuous quality, efficiency, sanitation, and safety of that line. This position will report to the night shift supervisor and night shift assistant supervisor. Essential Duties: • General knowledge of daily extrusion and production reports • Communicate with Supervisor/Foreman on all production concerns • Communicate with Extruder Operators on product times and bin space • Starting and setting up all required equipment for production • Controlling packaging materials, code dates, expiration dates, stickers and any items unique to product specs • Controls product quality, packaging quality, contamination, weight controls and line efficiency • Will do general maintenance and repairs on equipment and assist maintenance personnel • Will perform all equipment adjustments and change overs and troubleshoot equipment when problems occur • Complete all daily reports in legible manner, special projects as assigned • Assist in controlling packaging from warehouse, assist in supervising all line workers required on line • Operator will assist other lines when needed, perform all other duties assigned, assist training of all line worker • Complete knowledge of bin, product distribution, product delivery and blending systems • Coordinate all record keeping and charting to include cleaning schedule, packaging yields and efficienc • Assist Supervisor and Foreman as needed to control packaging area Qualifications • General mathematical ability and basic computer skills • Must not be afraid of heights, ability to climb 150 feet • Be able to meet physical requirements necessary for this position • Be willing to work hours and shifts as required by the supervisor • Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English • Working in loud and at times dusty and hot environment • Willing and able to get along with others.
