Position Overview
Durus Industrial is seeking skilled equipment operators capable of safely and efficiently operating light to mid-sized construction equipment in heavy industrial and infrastructure environments.
This role supports multi-trade crews on large-scale projects, requiring operators who can perform in remote, high-production environments and contribute beyond just equipment operation.
Core Responsibilities
• Operate light to mid-sized equipment including reach forklifts, track hoes, backhoes, mini excavators, skid steers, and water trucks
• Perform material handling, trenching, grading, backfilling, and site support activities
• Support crew operations with equipment positioning, lifting, and logistics
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Assist with ground work when equipment is not in operation (labor support across trades)
• Maintain safe operation practices in congested and active jobsite environments
Qualifications
• 3–5+ years of equipment operating experience in industrial or heavy civil environments
• Proven ability to operate multiple types of light equipment safely and efficiently
• Experience working around crews performing structural, concrete, or piping work
• Understanding of grade, trenching safety, and material handling practices
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred for water truck operation)
• Ability to perform labor tasks as needed to support the crew
Work Environment & Expectations
• Travel required across AZ, NM, and surrounding regions
• Active work on remote project sites
• Extended work schedules aligned with long-duration projects (not short-term outage work)
• Work performed in remote environments
• Outdoor work in extreme conditions (heat, dust, terrain)
• Zero-tolerance safety culture—PPE and compliance required at all times
Compensation
• Highly competitive pay based on experience and equipment proficiency
• Overtime opportunities tied to project demands
• Per diem for qualifying projects
• Benefits package available
