Responsibilities • Provide support for developmentally disabled individuals with challenging behaviors, to relieve family members from daily living activities. • Implement behavior management strategies including responding to physically aggressive behavior, as trained. • Engage with the client through activities that they enjoy. • Recognize and respond to behavioral patterns to anticipate and prevent triggers for behaviors. • Provide crisis intervention with the client’s safety in mind. • Maintain a positive relationship with the client and family.
