We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters. Job Description RESPEC seeks an experienced Civil Engineer located in our Anchorage, AK location. The Engineer will work with a team of multi-discipline engineers/EITs in preparing professional work products, including water and wastewater utility design, site grading, stormwater management, sediment and erosion control, and Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation permitting. Additional responsibilities include: • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve our clients’ technical challenges • Develop project designs, plan drawings, engineering reports, technical specifications, and other contract deliverables • Track project progress within established project scopes, budgets, and schedules and alert project managers of any issues that may affect them • Support other market sectors on design projects as workload dictates • Prepare clear and concise written communications and participate in client and team meetings • Present design projects, as required, as part of outreach to clients and the public • Conduct research and write technical portions of proposals to assist in bringing in new work Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following: • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering • 5+ years of civil engineering experience with an emphasis on design • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel) • The ability to contribute to multiple projects concurrently • An eye for detail and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines • Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred qualifications include the following: • A Professional Civil Engineer license • AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS experience (support will be provided by drafting technicians and EITs).
