Respond to client and shelter emergencies and notify appropriate personnel in a timely fashion. Assist and advocate for clients to suggest appropriate programs and services. Explain and maintain shelter policies and procedures. They will also help assist in routine shelter maintenance. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures. Positions Available: -FT- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday (12am - 8 am) -FT -Wednesday to Sunday (12 am -8 am) - PT- Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (12am-8am) -PT -Saturday, Sunday, Monday, (4pm to 12 am) -PT- Friday, Saturday & Sunday, Monday (4 pm to 12 am) Position pay is $18.50 Per Hour Qualifications Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: • H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. with three (3) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. • Experience working with a specific population preferred. Licenses/Certificate/Clearances: • N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance. Skills/Abilities: • Customer service skills. • Oral and written communication skills. Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: • Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client’s homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals. • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with children/adults in a challenging and active environment. • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
