Overview The Marriott Hotel is part of the Kahler Hospitality Group. We pride ourselves on maintaining a welcoming environment for our guests and a supportive atmosphere for our team members. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Engineer 1 to join our Maintenance Department. The Engineer I is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the hotel remains in top condition. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs. • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify and address potential issues. • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff. • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities. • Assist with the implementation of preventive maintenance programs. • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. • Collaborate with other departments to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in a related field preferred. • Previous experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment. • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
