Position Summary: Perform duties to set up and operate CNC Turret presses to produce a variety of parts in accordance with required specifications and work quality standards. Responsibilities: Work from setup sheets, prints, program tapes, routers, turret station board, and instructions: • Plan new setups, call up proper program, check setup sheet with turret station board to determine tool placement needs to perform operations such as punching embossing, notching, forming, and shearing. • Load tools in tool holders and index as indicated in the tool sheet. • Input program and set material holders in proper position on table. • Run sample part and check dimensions and operations performed against print and adjust tool positions or replace tools as necessary. • Operate machine, load and unload parts following machine cycle, check work for required operations and specifications, and place finished parts on skid. • Monitor machine for proper operation, add oil to the reservoir and replace tools as necessary. • Prepare job tickets, scrap, and daily production records. • Notify Group Leader of unusual machine or material problems. • Stack and move material as required. Qualifications: • Experience operating CNC machines • Experience operating a Turret Punch Press a plus • Knowledge of blueprint reading highly desired • Perform inspections using calipers, protractors, and measuring angles • Ability to use a computer • Mechanical and technical skills • Inspect and maintain equipment with safety requirements • Capable of doing repetitive movements • At least 3 years of experience in Fabrication • Daily standing position and lifting a variety of parts, sizes, and weights.
