Job Position Summary: Responsible to set up and run parts and be able to inspect their work and if needed make adjustments to produce a quality part. Minimum Requirements: • 3+ years of CNC Lathe Experience\ • Experience in Aerospace industry. • High School Diploma or Equivalent. Tech School preferred. • Mechanical Aptitude • Strong Attention to Detail • Organizational skills. • Basic computer skills • Time Management Skills • Ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators. • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally. Duties/Responsibilities: • Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required. • Operates a CNC Lathe. • Follows Ops sheets and written or verbal instructions for product specifications. • Operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements to include proper documentation, revision control, traceability, and lot control. • Observes overall operation and performs regular daily maintenance on equipment and work area. • Fills out production paperwork and inspection procedures as required. • Verifies and visually inspects work and dimensions per operations sheet to specification using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and preset gages. • Maintains tools, gages, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner. Working Conditions: • Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts. • May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities. Physical Requirements: • Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses. • May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required. • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
