Essential Job Function Set-Up and Operate the Heald ID Grinder • 5 years of ID grind experience • Capable of setting up and operating ID Grinder to accurately grind diameters, faces and bores to .0001 tolerances efficiently. • Requires ability to work from a blueprint, MOT, sketch sheet and or verbal instructions. • Uses shop math. • Must be able to accurately select appropriate grinding wheels, machine speeds and feeds. • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) • Use of common inspection equipment up to but not limited to air gages, dial bores, micrometers, indicators, calipers, and various layout tools • May be required to operate other various grinding equipment      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as drawings, blueprints, and production schedules. • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals or groups of customers or employees. • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts. • Proficiency in the use of MSWord, MS Excel, E-mail, MSOffice and Internet are required. Education and Experience • HS Diploma or GED. • 5 plus years in ID grind experience •
