Responsibilities: • Inspect vehicle surfaces to identify areas requiring preparation such as dents, rust, or old paint removal. • Perform sanding, grinding, and cleaning of auto body surfaces to ensure smoothness and proper adhesion of paint. • Apply masking tape and protective coverings to areas not to be painted, ensuring clean paint lines and preventing overspray. • Mix and apply primers or sealers as needed to prepare surfaces for painting. • Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work areas to uphold safety and quality standards. • Collaborate with paint technicians and body repair staff to schedule and prioritize prep work. • Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations related to paint preparation and chemical handling. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Experience in auto body preparation or a related field. • Basic knowledge of sanding, masking, and priming techniques. • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines. • Physical ability to perform manual tasks including standing, bending, and lifting.
