Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Civil Designer or Civil Engineer to join our growing Land Development team in Raleigh. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical abilities, a solid understanding of site design principles, and experience working on private or public land development projects within a consulting environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: • Prepare site civil design plans, including site layout, grading, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, utilities, and erosion control • Complete Stormwater Management Designs • Develop construction documents, reports, and technical calculations • Assist with permitting processes at local and state levels • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams • Support design efforts for commercial, residential, and mixed‑use development projects • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations Qualifications and Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline • 5–7 years of experience in land development within a consulting firm • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required • Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, and site layout • EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12–18 months • Excellent communication and teamwork skills What We Offer • Opportunities to work on diverse and impactful development projects • We will encourage you to grow and develop your career with us through our career mapping, ongoing training, and career development program. • We foster an up-beat, creative, and collaborative working environment. • We give you the flexibility needed to do your best work with several work options including hybrid, on-site, and remote on some occasions. • We offer competitive compensation along with an expansive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision benefits, life insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement and more. • No recruiters or agencies please. • Candidates must be based in the United States and must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
