Job purpose • A Materials Handler is responsible for supplying raw material to the press and daily changeovers. Duties and responsibilities • Safely perform assigned tasks completely and efficiently. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. • Responsible for material change overs at the molding machine • Responsible for maintaining and cleaning dryers, grinders and raw material area • Maintain and correctly label the raw materials • Assist production team on housekeeping of plant floor • Operates forklift, pallet truck and other associated material handling equipment. Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent • Ability to work in team environment and maintain positive attitude • Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety policies and procedures • Good attention to detail • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated • Ability to plan and organize their schedule Working conditions • Manufacturing environment where Personal Protective Equipment is required. • Eight hours shifts, mandatory overtime when required Physical requirements • Standing for long periods of time • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 1500 pounds with an assist. • Must be able to frequently reach, bend, kneel, squat and climb.
