Retail Pharmacist - PRN Make a difference in your community—one patient at a time. Black River Health is seeking a Per Diem Retail Pharmacist to join our team at the Krohn Clinic campus. In this role, you’ll provide personalized, high-quality pharmacy care while building meaningful relationships with patients and collaborating with healthcare providers and pharmacy staff. Position Details • Per Diem • Day Shift • Location: Krohn Clinic campus Essential Duties: • Dispenses prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety. • Provides patient counseling regarding prescription and non-prescription medications, drug interactions, and proper usage. • Reviews and verifies prescription orders to ensure accuracy, legality, and clinical appropriateness. • Collaborates with prescribers and healthcare professionals to recommend therapeutic alternatives and resolve medication-related issues. • Supports billing and insurance claim resolution processes, including prior authorizations and third-party communications. Educational Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree (B.S) in a five-year pharmaceutical program or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited college of pharmacy • Current and unrestricted license to practice as a Pharmacist in the State of Wisconsin • Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and point-of-sale technologies • Strong clinical knowledge and counseling skills • Excellent communication and customer service abilities At Black River Health, you'll join a team committed to delivering outstanding, compassionate healthcare close to home.
