Summary: Performs cardiac echocardiograms as ordered by the physician. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Includes the following but other duties may be assigned: • Prioritize and evaluate patient orders • Prepares patient and explains procedures to patient; answers questions carefully and completely • Perform diagnostic echocardiogram procedure in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physician • Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment • Maintain ultrasound equipment in appropriate operating condition • Maintain examination rooms and work areas. Order and stock all ultrasound and vascular lab supplies • Maintain accurate department records, reports and files as directed • Performs other duties as assigned by manager Qualifications Required: • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
