Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) - Greenville, SC Strategic Support Solutions is seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanics to fill government aircraft maintenance positions in Greenville, SC. Second shift positions will receive a $5 per hour shift differential. Primary Duties: • Inspect parts, systems, and airframe as part of routine scheduled maintenance. • Perform diagnostic tests to determine necessary repairs. • Repair defective or malfunctioning aircraft parts and systems. • Troubleshoot and diagnose potential repairs outside of regularly scheduled maintenance. Minimum Experience & Education: The ideal candidate will: • Have an active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license with a minimum of 3 years of related aviation experience in one of the following or similar airframes: • Citation 560XL • King Airs • Be able to perform assigned tasks in compliance with all applicable FAA regulations and the Inspections Procedures Manual with little or no direct supervision. • Have the minimum required tools to perform assigned work. • Be able to pass a basic aircraft maintenance knowledge test. • Be able to pass a basic practical test (required for Sheet Metal positions). • High School degree or equivalent required. Background Checks: • This position is covered under Federal Aviation Regulations in regard to unescorted access to Security Identification Display Areas.
