The Environmental Services Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining a clean and safe environment within the facility. In collaboration with the department manager, this position involves recommending hiring and promotions, assigning duties, coaching staff, enforcing hospital policies, and evaluating performance. The supervisor also assists in housekeeping duties to ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation are met. Schedule: • Monday through Friday • 6:30am - 3:00pm Duties/Responsibilities: • Ensures that the standard of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the Hospital Facility. • Organizes day-to-day work requirements and assigns housekeepers. • Perform inspections of all areas to ensure that the standards of cleanliness are being maintained. • Ensures that all housekeeping closets, carts, and storage are kept neat and in a tidy manner. • Performs cleaning of patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, and other areas as needed. • Reports any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Department. • Assists in orientation and training for all new hires. • Issues supplies throughout the Hospital Facility. • Coordinates housekeeping needs within the Events platform to include tablecloths and cleaning. • Communicates between departments to ensure effectiveness of housekeeping to perform project cleaning. • Ensures that any patient/housekeeping complaints are resolved in a timely manner or communicated to upper management. • Performs other duties such as making work schedules or completing the payroll in the absence of the Environmental Services Manager. • To ensure that all housekeeping equipment is being maintained and kept in good working conditions. • Performs inventories of chemicals, linens, equipment, and other items as required. • Provides on call service in the event of an emergency.
