Position Highlights • Full-time position providing comprehensive optometric care in a community-focused setting. • Opportunity to care for a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors. • Collaborative work environment with primary care providers, specialists, dental providers, behavioral health professionals, and support staff. • Epic EMR system utilized throughout the organization. What You'll Do • Provide comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments for patients of all ages. • Diagnose, manage, and treat a variety of ocular conditions and visual disorders. • Prescribe corrective lenses and other vision-related treatments. • Identify and manage eye diseases, referring patients for specialty care or surgical intervention when appropriate. • Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and the relationship between vision and overall health. • Collaborate with Valley Health's multidisciplinary care teams to support coordinated, patient-centered care. • Maintain accurate documentation within our Epic EMR system. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and access to vision care. Qualifications • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program. • Current West Virginia optometry license or eligibility for licensure in West Virginia. • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills. • A heart for community care and a commitment to Valley Health's mission of "Quality Healthcare in Your Neighborhood."
