Our Radiation Oncology Department has an opening for 2 PRN Radiation Therapist to join our Team. General Objectives: • As a member of the radiation oncology team, administers ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating diseases. • Demonstrates general understanding of anatomy and physiology pathology, medical terminology, oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, radiation oncology techniques, radiation safety and the psychosocial aspects of cancer toward the end. Education: • Successful completion of a radiation therapy training program, R.T. (T) certification and maintaining certification. Experience: • Experience in the area of Radiation Oncology is preferred. Skills: • Working knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and regulations pertaining to radiation therapy • Ability to interpret and deliver treatments per plans and relevant treatment protocols • Experience with modern radiation therapy delivery systems, imaging systems and electronic medical records • Experience with the following techniques required: Breath Hold, SRS and SBRT, Superficial and HDR • Working knowledge of Mosaiq highly preferred; • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
